Performing Arts Series | Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir

A choir stands in a European street

The Goshen College Performing Arts Series will feature the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir on Thursday, February 12 at 7:30 p.m.

The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir is not only one of the best-known Estonian music ensembles in the world, but was also named one of the 10 best choirs in the world by BBC Music Magazine.

Under the leadership of founding director Tõnu Kaljuste, the program will feature famed Estonian composer Arvo Párt’s works, alongside other ethereal melodies that will be brought to life by the choir’s transcendent sound. The repertoire of the choir extends from Gregorian chant and Baroque to the music of the 21st century, with a special focus on the work of Estonian composers. Each season the choir gives 60 to 70 concerts, both in Estonia and abroad.

Tickets are $65, $60 or $40 and are available online or at the Box Office, 574.535.7566.
