Performing Arts Series | Cirque Kalabanté

An artist performs a handstand on top of another artist.

The Goshen College Performing Arts Series presents Cirque Kalabanté, a jaw-dropping and high-flying circus act, on Tuesday, January 27 at 7:30 p.m.

Cirque Kalabanté offers a daredevil performance for the whole family, full of astonishing rolls, leaps and drum music. With its origins in Quebec, the company expanded over the years to have shows all over Canada, the U.S. and now the world. In 2018, Kalabanté opened their own studio and school in Montreal, where they offer classes in African dance, cirque and drumming.

“Afrique en Cirque” by Cirque Kalabanté is a show inspired by daily life in Guinea and created by Yamoussa Bangoura, a multidisciplinary artist of Guinean origin. Sharing the beauty, youth and artistry of African culture, the performance will feature acrobats executing gravity-defying moves and human pyramids accompanied by the contemporary sounds of live Afro-Jazz, percussion and kora.

The magic of Cirque Kalabanté will leave everyone on the edge of their seats — don’t miss this extraordinary opportunity! Tickets are $55, $50 or $30, and are available now online or at the Box Office, 574.535.7566.
