The Maple City Community Orchestra and the Goshen College Youth Honors Orchestra will hold a joint concert on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Sauder Concert Hall.
Titled “American Overtures,” this concert includes a variety of works from American composers, including Aaron Copeland’s “Outdoor Overture,” “Bal Masqué” by Amy Beach, “Dances in the Canebrakes” by Florence Price, and Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings.” It also features two medleys from Broadway musicals — Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story” and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Hamilton.”
This concert is free and open to the public. Freewill donations are gratefully accepted at the door.
