Dr. Antonio Flores to speak at 2024 Yoder Public Affairs Lecture

Dr. Antonio Flores, president & CEO of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, will speak at Goshen College on Sept. 12.
Dr. Antonio R. Flores, president and chief executive officer of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), will speak at Goshen College’s Yoder Public Affairs Lecture on Sept. 12. His speech, “The Relevance of Hispanic-Serving Institutions in the Midwest and at Goshen College,” starts at 7 p.m.
Flores has served as president and CEO of HACU since 1996. In his time in office, HACU has tripled its membership, budget and programs. Alongside his advocation for HSI legislation and funding, Flores has served on various national higher education associations and coalitions. He has received honorary doctorates from universities around the country, alongside various other honors for his work.
Flores earned a doctorate from the University of Michigan, a master’s degree from Western Michigan University, and bachelor’s degrees from Universidad de Guadalajara and Centro Normal Regional, Mexico.
