SEEDWelcome to the Sustainability and Environmental Education Department (SEED) at Goshen College.
The SEED department at GC offers a master’s degree in environmental education, and two undergraduate minors in agroecology and in sustainability.

Goshen College has been recognized as a leader in the field of sustainability among small liberal arts colleges. Students interested in the sustainability of our future have many opportunities to incorporate this into their plan of study no matter what discipline they choose as a major.

SEED is a unique department, as its primary center is at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College. Both the master’s degree program and the minors are designed so students will spend time in residence at Merry Lea for a hands-on, interdisciplinary, place-based educational experience.
