An Evening of Thanks

The International Student Club, Black Student Union, and Latino Student Union collaborate with the Multicultural Affairs Office to present a day of reflection and gratitude through a dinner and cultural entertainment.


Celebrating Heritage and History

Special events are coordinated for each heritage month throughout the academic year. The multicultural affairs office co-sponsors these programs with other university groups and organizations to commemorate the following heritage months:
  • African American History Month
  • Asian American Heritage Month
  • Hispanic Heritage Month
  • Native American Heritage Month


Martin Luther King Jr. Study Day

Each year, Goshen College honors the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr. by holding an all-school Study Day emphasizing the values and ideals that characterized King's work. The Study Day features distinguished speakers such as Dr. Vincent Harding and Rev. Dr. C.T. Vivian, both distinguished veterans of the civil rights movement and close associates of Martin Luther King Jr.. Goshen College's MLK Study Day is sponsored in part by the Plowshares Peace Collaborative. Find more information here.


Mix It Up Lunch Hour

The purpose of this hour is to allow the participants an opportunity to meet other students, staff, and faculty on campus. They will engage in dialogue about diversity and campus climate issues, motivating each participant to be advocates for diversity. This event will encourage every individual to cross boundaries in a safe and supportive manner, promoting a sense of belonging among all participants on campus regardless of group or cultural status.
