14th Annual

Goshen College

Student Academic Symposium

Saturday March 31, 2012

College Chapel 12:30-5:30 pm

The mission of the Symposium is to acknowledge original undergraduate and graduate research that plays an essential role in our academic program and to encourage students and faculty to contribute to the larger conversation about knowing and knowledge that sustains the academy. The symposium brings together students and faculty members involved in original research and scholarly activity from all disciplines. Presentations are based upon course work, Goshen College's Study and Service programs, the Maple Scholars program, internships and experiential learning opportunities. Besides thesis papers and investigations using the scientific method, presentations include expositions on the creative process and innovative techniques. Select papers that represent the quality of student research and writing at Goshen College are published each year in the Symposium Annual.
