Center for Communication Studies

Opened in 2020, the Center for Communication Studies at Goshen College brings together the award-winning television, radio, print and other media curriculars under one roof.

Students are able to meet in one place and collaborate as one team. A department that has won a steady stream of statewide and national awards has found a new home with high energy and round-the-clock activity, with Globe Radio announcers on the air and student staff in a bustling newsroom.

The Center for Communication Center lobby has conference space, a lounge area and study space, and showcases some of the departments many awards from recent competitions.

The home of The Record, GC`s student newspaper, becomes a bustling newsroom each week as students prepare the next issue.

This space for GC`s student-run radio station, 91.1 FM [WGCS] The Globe, serves as a live studio as well as a classroom for learning the craft.

The Huddle Room is a space for meetings and collaborative work to take place.

The television control room provides practical behind-the-scenes television experience for students interested in TV and film studies.
