Highly decorative ceramic lamps by Norah Ruth Amstutz ’19, a potter who completed her MFA in ceramics at Notre Dame in 2025.
Homecoming reception: Saturday, Oct. 3, 5:30 – 7 p.m., with an artist talk at 6 p.m.

The Hershberger Art Gallery brings a year-round lineup of exhibits to campus, featuring visiting and regional artists, Goshen College alumni and faculty, and our own art students.
Curated by the Goshen College Art Department, the gallery fills the north lobby of the Music Center, so a concert night can double as a gallery visit. Each year’s schedule includes exhibits by professional artists, the Eric Yake Kenagy Visiting Artist exhibit, and the spring graduation exhibits, where senior art majors present the capstone work of their studies. The juried student art exhibit closes out the year and stays up through the summer.
Exhibits often open with a public reception or artist talk. See the listings below for dates, or browse the full arts calendar.
The gallery is named for Abner Hershberger ’60, professor emeritus of art, who taught painting and printmaking at Goshen College from 1965 to 1999 and chaired the art department for 20 years.
