Writers Publish Here
- Publish a book with your name on it: put poetry and prose into print through Pinchpenny Press, the college’s own student book imprint before you graduate.
- Find your audience on campus: share work at public readings, contribute to literary magazines like Broadside and Red Cents.
- English or Writing, tailored to you: English majors dig into literature from past to present while building the skills grad schools and employers want; Writing majors get workshop-style classes small enough that a professor knows your voice and pushes it.
- Learn from working writers: every year the S.A. Yoder Memorial Lecture brings a distinguished poet, novelist, or essayist to campus so you learn from them, not just read them.

A Radio Station, TV Studio and Film Company on Campus
- The Globe (WGCS 91.1), Globe TV: develop real leadership on air at the station named the Best College Radio Station in the Nation by the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System. The Globe also releases a show every week.
- Storytelling across every platform: broadcasting and film production students command the studios, while communication majors orchestrate strategic media campaigns and direct live community broadcasts.
- Professional internships: land placements with regional corporate partners, advertising agencies, and local nonprofits.
I’m so grateful for the Film Production department in Goshen College, mainly because it allowed me to have real industry experience, in addition to being trusted with leadership roles in both FiveCore Media, and 91.1 The Globe. I’m a well-rounded professional today because of this department.
