Java Junction: A Business, Run by Students
- A real business, not a case study: Java Junction is a student-run coffee bar in GC, operated by students and open to the whole community.
- Start behind the counter: as a student employee, you make drinks and keep the floor running, learning firsthand how a working business actually operates.
- Move into management, earn credit: junior and senior business majors can apply to the student management team through BUS 360, running the shop’s operations, marketing, purchasing, and accounting for academic credit.
- Experience employers notice: you graduate with hands-on experience running a live business.
The connections I’ve made with classmates, professors, and peers have created a sense of belonging and encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone. The business department has provided me with valuable knowledge, hands-on learning opportunities, and mentorship that have strengthened my professional skills and confidence.

Graduate With Experience, Not Just a Degree
Employers hire for experience, and Goshen makes sure you have it before you graduate.
- Try on a career before you commit: an internship here is a way to test a field firsthand and find out early whether it’s the right fit.
- Substantial by design: a fall or spring internship runs 120 hours and a summer placement runs 240. So you take on real responsibility for an employer rather than shadowing for an afternoon.
- Start early, then go back for more: students who complete two or three internships often move straight into full-time work after graduation, sometimes at the same company where they interned.
