Lectures and discussions in the Science Speaker Series are free and open to the public.  While the speakers are often talking about the latest research in their fields, the goal is to make the ideas accessible to all scientifically literate people.

Speakers will be: Philip DeShield -- "Synthesis of Glycosyl-Nucleoside Lipids as Low-Molecular-Weight Gelators for Tissue Engineering Scaffolds" and Renee Miller -- "The Role of microRNA-223 in the Pathogenesis of Eosinophilic Esophagitis". Everyone is invited. Refreshments will be served.

Autumn Hike at Merry Lea

Meet at Merry Lea's Learning Center for a two-hour hike with an experienced naturalist at one of Indiana's most diverse nature preserves. You'll see late fall color, a wild array of seed pods and many other ways nature prepares for winter. Please register by October 22 to ensure that the hike goes forward.
