The department of Bible, religion and philosophy is dedicated to combining a strong academic program with curriculum and pedagogies that connect learning with students’ convictions and passions. Many of our recent students are in graduate programs at institutions such as Harvard, Yale, Claremont and Emory and Mennonite denominational seminaries such as AMBS and EMS . Others have entered into the adventure of voluntary service that has led them to paid positions as coordinators of programs in places ranging from Paris to Bogotá, Columbia. Many enter into pastoral ministry of some sort or another.
Faith and fellowship
The department regularly hosts the majors and minors in faculty homes for informal meals, casual discussions and fellowship. Faculty members encourage personal conversations with students on issues of faith or other matters of student concern. Learn more about the BRP faculty members.
