Assistant Professor of Nursing
Although I love educating students, I believe the first step to being a great educator is engaging in ongoing learning and education oneself. Personally, I am working on my own scholarly pursuit by earning my doctorate of nursing practice. Therefore, I appreciate the challenges as well as joys of the learning process my students are engaged in. My personal passion is helping to foster skilled, compassionate, and knowledgable nurses, both RNs and advanced practice nurses such as nurse practitioners. To that end, as I am developing and shaping my doctoral research project, I am focusing on the healthcare arena and ways nurses can further strengthen and meet the demands/needs of a dynamic healthcare environment.
