At Goshen College, starting as an undecided student means you’ll be supported as you explore your interests, values, and goals. Our advising process is built to help you discover your strengths and passions while you complete core curriculum courses that keep you on track for graduation.

Finding your Passion
Undecided students at Goshen College work closely with academic advisors to choose general education courses that fulfill requirements while exploring various fields. Most students choose a major by the end of their first year. As an undecided student, you’ll begin with the Goshen Core—our general education curriculum designed to expose you to a variety of disciplines. Courses in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences provide a strong foundation for your college education while helping you discover your academic interests.
