    Credits and Requirements

    Pre-medicine is not a major, but a track that can be combined with majors such as biology, molecular biology/biochemistry, chemistry, or exercise science. Academic advisors work with you to ensure that you meet all course requirements for medical school applications.

     

    Hands-On Learning Opportunities

    Gain valuable hands-on learning through:

    • Undergraduate research with faculty in molecular biology, physiology, and ecology
    • Summer opportunities with the Maple Scholars program

    • Shadowing physicians at Goshen Hospital and other medical centers

    Students conduct research and complete labs in the Schrock Science Laboratories, which are well-equipped for advanced work in molecular biology, chemistry, and physiology. Off-campus research experiences are available through partnerships with organizations like AbbVie, Notre Dame, and Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center.
