Joey Lyon

Joey Lyon teaches courses in computer science focusing on project-based final assessments to provide hands-on experiences and build student portfolios throughout their time at Goshen College.  His research interests are in uncertainty quantification using surrogates to replace computationally cumbersome models. His current research project focuses on volcanology and pyroclastic density currents. Additionally, he is highly interested in machine learning and its use for modeling complex situations, particularly as it pertains to predictive modeling in sports.
