Baseball Recruit Day is your invitation to train, compete and get evaluated by the Goshen College baseball coaching staff — right here on our campus. Whether you’re just starting your college search or ready to take the next step, it’s a full day built to show you what being a Maple Leaf is all about.
You’ll work through position-specific evaluations and instruction, take the field for a live scrimmage, and sit down with our coaches for an honest Q&A about baseball and life at Goshen. Every prospect goes home with a Recruit Day T-shirt — and lunch is on us.
Your day at a glance
Here’s how Saturday, September 19 will unfold. Plan to arrive a few minutes early so you’re ready to go when evaluations begin.
- 8:15 a.m. — Registration & check-in (inside the Recreation-Fitness Center)
- 9:00 a.m. — Evaluations & instruction
- 11:00 a.m. — Live scrimmage
- 12:45 p.m. — Lunch & Q&A with the coaching staff
- 2:00 p.m. — Optional campus tour

Baseball Recruit Day is open to prospective student-athletes who are interested in continuing their baseball career at Goshen College. Come compete, get evaluated and see whether the Maple Leafs are the right fit for you.
Your registration covers a full day of evaluations and position-specific instruction, a live scrimmage, a Q&A with the coaching staff and an optional campus tour — plus a Recruit Day T-shirt and lunch.
Come dressed and ready to compete, and bring your own equipment — glove, bat, helmet, cleats and appropriate athletic gear. Don’t forget a water bottle.
Check-in opens at 8:15 a.m. inside the Recreation-Fitness Center (RFC) on the Goshen College campus. Need directions? View the campus map.
Absolutely. Families are welcome to watch the day’s activities, and everyone is invited to join the optional campus tour at 2:00 p.m.
