Laptop Adoption Program

Eligibility

Enrollment in the Laptop Adoption Program (LAP) is only available for first-year, undergraduate students, during the student’s first academic semester.  Eligible prospective students will record their intention to participate in the program by filling out the laptop selection survey included with their other forms to complete.

Cost

Laptop program fees are $200 per semester ($400 annually) charged in the fall and spring terms.  In some cases, financial aid will help to cover some or all of the $200 per semester fee. Contact your admissions counselor or the Academic Success Center if this fee presents a financial hardship for you and your family.

Ownership

Through participation in this program, you will sign an agreement that entitles you to receive a laptop that is owned, managed, serviced by Goshen College. GC will retain ownership of the laptop until you either graduate or withdraw from the program and pay the remainder of the laptop agreement value. If you participate in the LAP for the entire time you are a student and ultimately graduate from Goshen College, the laptop will become your property.

Technology

LAP participants will have the choice of a Windows or Mac laptop. Both options meet or exceed the minimum laptop requirements for Goshen College
