Visiting Assistant Professor of History

Position Summary:
The History Department at Goshen College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in History beginning August 2026. We seek candidates with a specialization in the history of Africa, Asia, or Latin America. Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are especially encouraged to apply: religion in the Global South, oral history, and/or migration. Experience teaching composition-heavy courses and general education courses is strongly desired.
Essential Duties:
The successful candidate will teach a full load (4-4, 4-3-1) of undergraduate courses, including general education survey courses and upper-level courses in their area of specialization.
