In the sequential SST format: This course includes a volunteer placement in an immersive community setting with an organization that serves the
community, plus reflection on learnings and an immersive community research project. This real world mode of learning will allow students to practice responsible civic engagement in a cross-cultural setting. The research project will use interview and participant-observation methodologies.
