EDUC 535 Literacy: Diagnosis and Assessment

The second course in the elementary literacy sequence further explores the Science of Reading (SoR) framework through a study of the administration and interpretation of literacy assessments and their impact on classroom instruction. This class centralizes the research and theory behind assessment and diagnosis while engaging in the practical application and interpretation of the results. Students study the role of assessment and diagnosis in the Response to Intervention (RtI) framework as well as communicating results to stakeholders. Offered online.
