Position Overview
The role of our Security personnel is to ensure a safe environment for our guests and event staff, with and without alcohol present. As well as safety, this position is in charge of troubleshooting and responding to situations that are unexpected or problematic. We expect our Security staff to defuse tense situations with our guests and clients using the Verbal Judo program rather than using physical confrontation. Security staff also, from time to time, assist the bartenders and servers with other event related tasks.
While often unseen by our guests, security plays a very valuable role in our event staff at Bread & Chocolate by enforcing our standards and policies, which protect the safety of our guests and staff. This is a fast paced position in a formal setting.
Hours & Compensation
Security staff are expected to be available to work a minimum of 5 events per month, as needed, between March and December. Each event averages 6 to 8 hours of work time for Security staff. During January and February, Security staff will be expected to be available to work 1 to 3 events, as needed. Security may respond to an online poll and sign up for preferred shifts.
