Growing up in Goshen, I remember riding my bike through the tree-lined campus sidewalks. Back then, it was a just a beautiful childhood backdrop. Little did I know I would find myself here many years later, dedicating much of my professional career to Goshen College.

Ever-passionate about the arts, I pursued my degree at a large state school, and then the Kansas City Art Institute. This journey led me to work in textiles and weaving in New York, and visual design at Hallmark. In my process of self-discovery, I also grew in my faith. I returned to Goshen as an adult and was introduced to the Mennonite church. Here, I found a faith community that became an integral part of my life. And here I also rediscovered Goshen College. One of my greatest joys is talking with students who discover Goshen College through a website, or a friend, or a hunch – and discover the richness and possibility that lives here, much as I did when I joined Goshen College Admissions 13 years ago.

Goshen College is a gem, woven into the fabric of the Midwest. It is a springboard for immersive international experiences through its lauded Study Service Term (SST), and is surrounded by a vibrant, diverse community where students find entertainment, opportunity, and partnership. Goshen College is a creative think tank, and whether your passions lie in art, physics, conflict studies, athletics or journalism, we invite you to explore them here.

Hobbies and Interests:

My husband and I love to travel. We have 5 adult children who live in Boston (3 in one city!), Chicago and Washington, DC. Those are all great places to visit! Goshen is an active creative community.  We like to bike downtown, especially on First Fridays for Goshen’s monthly celebration of music, arts and food.  I love to cook and try to new recipes like my recent salad of blood orange, avocado and cucumber with lime dressing.

And who doesn’t love a good book by authors like Mario Vargas Llosa, Zadie Smith and Andrea Lee.
