The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Goshen College builds on one of the college’s oldest and most respected programs, rooted in a decades-long tradition of excellence in nursing education. Located in the newly renovated, state-of-the-art Westlawn Center for Nursing and Public Health, the program offers cutting-edge learning environments that support your growth as a clinician and leader. You’ll gain the advanced clinical knowledge and cross-cultural understanding needed to care for patients from all walks of life. At Goshen, we prepare nurses to lead with empathy, listen deeply, and serve communities with intercultural competence and confidence.
Designed for registered nurses with a bachelor’s degree who are ready to become family nurse practitioners, this face-to-face program meets one evening a week—Tuesdays from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.—to support working professionals.

Cost and Financial Support
The cost of the MSN program is $765 per credit hour for the 2025–26 academic year. Students are also responsible for an annual fee of $600. The total program consists of 48 credit hours, distributed over three years:
- Year 1: 18 credit hours
- Year 2: 17 credit hours
- Year 3: 13 credit hours
Books are not included in the cost of tuition and must be purchased separately.

Program Overview
Goshen College’s MSN program offers a single, focused track of study: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Built on a long-standing tradition of nursing excellence, this track emphasizes culturally responsive care and deep understanding of patients’ lived experiences—especially for those from marginalized communities.
Nearly 100% of graduates are employed in Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) roles within 12 months of graduation.

As part of the program, you’ll complete a minimum of 672 clinical hours with approved preceptors in a variety of healthcare settings.

Application and Admission Requirements
To apply for the Master of Science in Nursing program at Goshen College, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- Current, unencumbered RN license
- At least one year of clinical nursing experience
- Completion of an undergraduate statistics course
- Completed online application form
- Curriculum vitae (CV) or résumé
- Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended
- Interview with the program director
Official TOEFL or IELTS score report (if English is not your first language)
Up to 9 credit hours of comparable graduate-level coursework may be transferred from an accredited institution, with advisor approval. All courses must have a minimum grade of B (not B−) and meet the program’s content requirements. Transcripts will be evaluated on an individual basis.
