Need help understanding a concept or preparing for an exam? Our peer tutors can meet with you one-on-one or in small groups — either in person or online. GC tutors are students who’ve been in your shoes and are trained to support your academic growth. Online tutoring is also available anytime through Upswing.
Writing & Research Help at the ASK! Desk
Whether you’re starting a paper or polishing the final draft, our writing mentors and librarians are here to help. The ASK! Desk in the library offers support at any stage of the writing process — from brainstorming and outlining to citations and research sources.
One-on-One Academic Coaching
Stay organized, focused, and confident. Meet with an academic coach for help with:
- Time management
- Study strategies
- Goal-setting and accountability
These 30-minute sessions are a great way to stay on track throughout the semester.
We also offer practical tools like:
- Weekly schedule planners
- “Do and Due” task organizers
- The Pomodoro time management technique
Holistic First-Year Advising
Every first-year student is paired with a Connections Advisor — a dedicated guide to help you navigate your first year at GC. Together, you’ll create a personalized success plan that supports your academic, personal, and career goals.

Hispanic and Inclusive Student Programming
Through our federal Developing HSI (Hispanic-Serving Institution) Title V grant, Goshen College offers expanded support for Hispanic and other historically underserved students. We work across departments to:
- Host family-focused events and workshops
- Promote financial wellness and student engagement
- Build belonging through inclusive programming
