Major: Accounting

Why did you choose Goshen?

I chose Goshen College because coming from Germany it gave me both the opportunity to study and continue to play soccer on a high level which wouldn’t have been possible in Europe.

Why did you choose your major?

I chose accounting because I had a lot of fun taking the course financial accounting and Andrew Hartzler as well as Michelle Horning seemed to be great professors. Andrew did a good job in really wanting me to major in accounting. And it turned out to be a very good decision as I really enjoyed all the accounting classes.

What is a valuable experience that you have had at Goshen?

In my freshman year, I recall having a home game on my birthday. After the game, all the GC students sang ‘Happy Birthday’ for me which was a really touching experience I will never forget.
