Huntington, Indiana

Major: Spanish, Education; Music minor

Why did you choose Goshen?

I chose Goshen because I heard good things about it’s Spanish, education, and music programs. I was also drawn to Goshen as a Mennonite institution, and in the end it was affordable for me to come here through the scholarships I received.

Why did you choose your major?

I have always wanted to be a teacher, and I also love languages. Spanish is a language that has a large presence here and around the world which has helped motivate me to learn it.

What career are you interested in pursuing?

Becoming a Spanish teacher.

What is a valuable experience that you have had at Goshen?

I have had a lot of valuable experiences at Goshen college, including: making great friends, doing research through a Maple Scholars project, being part of the cross country team, and getting to play in a Concerto-Aria concert. I have learned and grown a lot through all of these experiences.
