Exploring Merry Lea Teaching Farm

Where does food come from before it gets to the grocery store? How does a carrot grow, and what does it taste like when fresh-pulled from the ground?

Students will be immersed in our Teaching Farm to consider the cyclical and connected interactions between the soil, plants, and domestic animals!  Through hands-on exploration, students will explore our farm, its residents and how the farm ecosystem compares to a more natural habitat like a wetland or forest.

Get an up-close look at our farm animal companions or taste an edible flower for the first time on this memorable field trip!
