Faith Lutheran is a multi-site congregation in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), formed from two congregations with rich histories of ministry and mission in Goshen. In 2012, the pastors of First English Lutheran (406 S 5th St) and Trinity Lutheran (202 S. Greene Rd) began a conversation about what it would look like to fulfill the missions of our congregations more effectively and with greater impact for our members and the community of Goshen as a multi-site congregation. In March of 2014, the congregations voted to become one church, called Faith.

Today, Faith strives to live out our mission of “growing in faith through the celebration of Jesus Christ to make better lives, a better community, and a better world through scripture, sacraments, and service.” We pray that whether you are searching for answers, just visiting when in town, or looking for a place to belong, you know that you are welcome at Faith.

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church

18548 CR 18
Goshen, IN 46528
574-533-7705
www.popgoshen.net
Prince of Peace utilizes the ancient liturgical style that has been around for hundreds of years. We don’t worship as much as we come to be served by God himself through Jesus Christ His Son. This is very unique in our community. Most churches are about worship style so as to entertain the worshiper and make “church” more exciting. We don’t approach church with this philosophy. We believe Christ started his church to serve us with the things we need. Things such as repentance, forgiveness, love, encouragement, and strength to make it another week in a sinful world in sinful flesh. Our time together here is all about receiving God’s good gifts, and praising him for them.

We are just about 6 miles straight North on S.R. 15 from the campus. 10 minutes and you’re here receiving the blessed benefits God has in store for you. We practice the Bible supported tradition of close(d) communion, which means we ask only those who have made the same confession of the Lutheran Christian faith as we have to participate. Others simply wait in their seats and receive all the other gifts God has in store for them. We know when this is misunderstood, it can be taken as unloving, but the truth is, it is a most loving and protective thing we do. Please call the pastor beforehand and ask him to explain this practice; he’d be more than happy to spend the time with you. All are welcome to come and receive all the blessings God has for you! We hope to see you soon!

Worship: 9:30am
www.walnuthillmennonitechurch.com

Located in the Chamberlain neighborhood of Goshen, Walnut Hill Mennonite Church is a medium sized congregation that loves to have fun together and values intergenerational relationships. Most of us live in Goshen. We seek to love God and our neighbor. We don’t all agree with each other, but we are committed to following the path of Jesus together as we learn and grow. We welcome all people to join us in worship and fellowship and become part of our community of God’s people.

Worship (9:30 am–10:45am) varies from Sunday to Sunday because God has given us many different leadership gifts and perspectives. After worship you are welcome to join the Sunday school class or just enjoy snacks and conversation in our basement. For a ride, call or text Ben Bouwman (630-346-5010) or Carmen Horst (574-903-3713), our pastors. You could also e-mail us at ben.whmc@gmail.com or cshorst@gmail.com. We hope you come sometime.

Coffee & Fellowship: Sunday, 9:30 a.m.
Morning Worship: Sunday, 10 a.m.

In the dichotomy between left-leaning and right-leaning churches, LifeSpring Community Church really fits into neither category. We, as a church, are focused on ‘life transformation in Jesus’– which ultimately has ongoing impact on personal lives, healthy relationships, and community transformation. (John 10:10)

We invite you into our church-life during your college years. Through morning worship, Sunday lunch in our homes, and participating together in various ministries –we look forward to sharing life in Christ with you.

Our mission is to proclaim and model Christianity in a culturally relevant way with the goal of developing fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ…followers who GO to the lost with the message of Christ, GROW in their faith through a pursuit of Christ, and SHOW compassion to the poor with the love of Christ. Our service times are 9 and 10:30….I usually go to the 10:30 service and leave at about 10 or so. I am flexible though. We are starting a new series this Sunday (Sept. 7) titled “Tough Questions” in which our pastor is going to try and dissect the most common and hardest questions people have about Christianity and the Church. It should be good!

Come See What a Difference Faith can Make!

Faith Church exists to empower believers to discover their ministry within the church, and their mission outside of the church to impact the Kingdom of God. All worship services are fairly informal, and you should feel welcome to come as you are.

Sunday Morning:
• Traditional service—8:30
• Blended/contemporary service—10:45. This service is slowly becoming more modern.

Monday night:
• Informal service at 7 PM. This service usually has hymns and some modern music.
• Usually meets between April or May and October or November.

Small Groups and Sunday School classes are often being formed. Please feel free to visit and join any group or class. The time and day will be public on the website soon.

Missions are a large part of Faith. From the school we helped build in Haiti to local work at Church Community Services in Elkhart, we are sure you can find a place with us to reach out and make a difference in our world.
