My name is Diana Boussom I am a Child of two Deaf Adults (CODA) and a Nationally Certified Interpreter. Growing up, my older sister and I would often interpret for our parents if there were no interpreters available. I happily interpreted for them, knowing that I was bridging gaps and communications between the hearing and Deaf world. At the time, I didn’t know that I could be an interpreter until I was in middle school, which then greatly encouraged me to take a further look into it as a career. In high school, I was searching for colleges and found Goshen College, applied and was accepted in 2016. I graduated in 2020 and have been working as a professional Interpreter for five years. I am currently getting my masters through Rochester Institute of Technology in Healthcare Interpreting. And in March 2025, I became a nationally certified interpreter.
