Martin Luther King, Jr. 2025 Celebration

The 2025 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration at Goshen College was split into three distinct, student-led parts. First, students held a convocation featuring a variety of different affinity groups, centered around the MLK quote “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.”

After the convocation, students marched to the Rec-Fit Center, chanting the refrain to “Ella’s Song”: We who believe in freedom / We will not rest!

Once inside the gym, students participated in a number of activities held by the different affinity groups and gathered for food and drink.

  • GC @ Mennonite Church USA “Follow Jesus” Convention

    The Mennonite Church USA's Follow Jesus 25 convention took place July 8-12, 2025 in Greensboro, NC and Goshen College connected with prospective students and alumni at the booth, conducted the Gratitude Letters project, led several seminars and hosted a large Alumni & Friends Gathering.

  • CCE Summer Camps: Write On Sports

    From June 9-20, rising seventh, eighth and ninth graders participated in Write On Sports camp at Goshen College's Center for Community Engagement. At the camp, students created a multimedia project, either a video or a podcast episode, as well as writing a feature article, all relating to sports.

  • CCE Summer Camps: Read, Act, Create! and Board Game Creation

    In the first week of June, Goshen College’s Center for Community Engagement hosted two summer camps: Read, Act, Create! and Board Game Creation. See photos of the campers here!   Photos by Sarah Miller.
