Marine Biology 2021 has launched!

May 03 2021

Sunday May 2, 2021

The Marine Biology class of 9 students has arrived and 0ur course has begun! Given the challenges over the last year, it has been a long wait for our students. Last May in 2020, their trip was cancelled due to Covid and we are so grateful we can be here in 2021. All of us (9 students and 1 faculty) are fully vaccinated, thanks to Goshen College’s hard work to provide this opportunity on campus earlier this spring.

We are staying just up the road from the J.N. Roth Marine Biology station at Fiesta Key RV Resort, as our station is currently undergoing renovations.

The students have worked during the spring Junior Seminar class to develop their research projects in the marine system – we will use this class to become more familiar with marine ecology and begin implementing their research. We look forward to sharing our experience with you via daily student-authored blogs. Stay tuned!
