Hogan makes history as NAIA Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week
Sep 11 2025
After posting a course record time and the second-fastest time in Goshen College cross country history on Friday, Drew Hogan has now received three weekly awards in the last 48 hours — this time from the NAIA.
The NAIA announced Hogan as the first NAIA Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week award winner of the 2025 season. This comes after Hogan was named the Crossroads League Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week and the USTFCCCA M-F Athletic NAIA Men’s National Athlete of the Week.
Hogan posted the second-fastest 8K time in Goshen program history Friday at the Wildcat Twilight Invitational, winning the race in a field packed with Crossroads League competition. He won the race in 24:25.7, breaking the course record at Indiana Wesleyan and claiming the season-opener among 303 runners.
This is the first time Goshen has had an NAIA National Player of the Week in any sport since 2017. It is the first known Player of the Week the Maple Leafs have had in the sport of cross country.
Previous winners:
2005 – Ben Taylor, baseball
