Donors contribute record $2.3 million to GC Fund and $14 million total in 2023-24 fiscal year

Jul 30 2024

Donors to Goshen College contributed a record-breaking $2,311,906 to the GC Fund during the 2023-24 fiscal year. At the close of the fiscal year on June 30, the fund had received this substantial amount from 4,159 gifts, marking a 10.3 percent increase over the previous year and the highest amount on record.

The Goshen College Fund receives unrestricted annual gifts that directly impact student’s college experience, including life-changing scholarships that keep college more accessible, student services for academic success and distinctive programming like immersive, global education opportunities during Study-Service Terms and the student-run radio station, WGCS 91.1FM The Globe.

Overall giving to Goshen College totaled $14,222,297, including restricted gifts, the highest amount received since the 2006-2007 fiscal year.

“Our donors play an essential role in supporting our mission and providing amazing opportunities for our students,” said Goshen College President Rebecca Stoltzfus. “Their generosity ensures that we can continue to offer transformative educational experiences that prepare our students to lead and serve in a global context.”

Goshen College alumni were especially generous, contributing approximately 87 percent of total gifts. Additionally, 100 percent of board members and alumni council members contributed.

Although the giving period for 2023-2024 has concluded, the Goshen College Development Office is already working toward an even higher Goshen College Fund goal for the 2024-2025 fiscal year.
