‘A Festival of Carols’ to air on PBS

Goshen College’s annual “A Festival of Carols” program will be broadcast this year on PBS television stations in Indiana and Oregon.

A time honored tradition at Goshen College, this Christmas concert features the college’s orchestra and three vocal ensembles, plus the community Shout For Joy Children’s Choir.

This Emmy® award winning hour-long program of classic Christmas favorites features carols and traditional hymns. The program was filmed in Goshen College’s Sauder Concert Hall by students and faculty from Goshen College’s Communication Department’s video production company FiveCore Media.

The program, filmed last year, is set to air on the following PBS stations in December (all times are Eastern unless otherwise noted):

WNIT – South Bend, IN

  • Dec. 19: 9:30 p.m., channel 34.1
  • Dec. 25: 10 a.m., channel 34.2
  • Dec. 25: 3:30 p.m., channel 34.1
  • Dec. 25: 10 p.m., channel 34.1

WFWA – Fort Wayne, IN

  • Dec. 25: 1 p.m., channel 39.4
  • Dec. 25: 5 p.m., channel 39.1

KSYS/KFTS – Medford/Klamath Falls, OR

  • Dec. 24: 10 p.m. PST, channel 8.1

About the Goshen College Communication Department: The Goshen College Communication Department has been recognized in the state and nation for its excellence in broadcasting, journalism, speech, film production and writing. The department has been named Indiana TV and Radio school of the year multiple times, Best College Radio station in the nation twice, Indiana Broadcasters Association Best Radio Station, Best College Newspaper in the state and many more.
