2025 C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest

The 2025 C. Henry Smith Peace oratorical contest featured five amazing speeches from students.

Naomi Lapp Klassen, a senior history and criminal and restorative justice double major from Goshen, took home the top prize with her speech titled “Confronting Mass Incarceration: A Story of Agency and Sight”. Peace Muhagachi, a senior sociology major from Dodoma, Tanzania, took home second place with “The Value of Restorative Justice in Our Lives”.
