Goshen College Music Center
Goshen College and Community Pro-Education will host the Mariachi Festival of Goshen on Friday, September 12 outside the Goshen College Music Center. The mariachi festival will bring together mariachi groups from across Indiana to participate in workshops and a mariachi competition, judged by Mariachi Los Camperos.
There will be vendors and food trucks outside beginning at noon, and the competition will last from 1:30 to 3:30.
The competition schedule is as follows, with performances in Sauder Concert Hall:
- 1:30 pm – Mariachi Pequeños Gigantes
- 1:50 pm – Mariachi Ardillalachi
- 2:10 pm – Mariachi Los Altos
- 2:30 pm – Mariachi Internacional de Bloomington
- 2:50 pm – Mariachi Puebla de Indianapolis
- 3:10 pm – Mariachi ECo
Vendors and celebrations will continue until 6 p.m. At that time, all the mariachi groups will perform “Viva Mexico” outside the Music Center, preceding the Performing Arts Series performance from Mariachi Los Camperos.
