So you’ve received your acceptance letter, or you’ve made the decision and made a deposit… what’s next?
Use the checklists below to help guide you through the steps of joining the next generation of Maple Leafs.
Admitted Students Checklist
(If you are an international student, go here for your next steps and information about arriving.)
Beginning Jan. 1, file the FAFSA (using prior year taxes) to be considered for all the federal, state and institutional need-based aid for which you are eligible. GC’s FAFSA Code: 001799.
Need help with your FAFSA? Schedule an individual virtual appointment with one of our financial aid counselors who can walk you through completing your FAFSA step by step! Reach out to admissions@goshen.edu
Once we receive your FAFSA, you’ll receive a financial aid award in the mail. Contact your admissions counselor with any questions, including if you do not intend to complete the FAFSA for some reason.

Once you’ve submitted your enrollment deposit, here’s your next steps:
Regularly check your email, as important information will be sent there.
New Student Checklist (required for first-year & transfer students)
- Review the forms and tasks required before beginning classes at GC.
- Follow the steps on this page to access MyGC, the campus portal, where you’ll find the online forms you’ll need to complete to ensure a smooth transition into being a Goshen College student. You will need your Goshen College username and password to complete them.
Register for New Student Orientation (required for all first-year students).
Transfer Students: (students with 17 or more college credits) You can skip this step. You will work with the Transfer Advisor to schedule your advising and registration appointment.
Download the orientation app, Yapp (required for first-year & transfer students)
Watch this brief introduction to GC billing and payments
Go here and click on “my bill for next semester” to generate a bill. Make a payment or set up a Nelnet payment plan to cover the balance listed before the semester’s due date.
