GC Theater visits an alum at work

Jun 18 2024

Come From Away, Miller Auditorium, campus of Western Michigan University Kalamazoo, MI January 30, 2024

As Assistant Stage Manager for the official Broadway tour of Come From Away, Gloria Bontrager-Thomas, GC ‘22, spent two days in nearby Kalamazoo. 13 GC students, 2 faculty/staff, one volunteer and two alumni attended the January 30 performance. Gloria graciously offered us a backstage tour. Gloria’s supervisor,  Production Stage Manager, Abby Bobb, subsequently joined us for an impromptu backstage Q & A session.

GC Technical Director Jacob Claassen, GC ’22, organized the outing and drove the 15 passenger bus through slushy conditions to get there. Many thanks to Jacob for arranging this fun, educational evening!
