Position Overview
The Division of Mental Health is seeking to hire a licensed Registered Nurse to serve as Assistant Director of Nursing and to oversee and supervise professional and paraprofessional nursing staff in the care and treatment of psychiatric patients at the Chicago-Read Mental Health Center located in Chicago, Illinois. At Chicago-Read Mental Health Center, we treat individuals with dignity and compassion. Essential Functions
Serves as Assistant Director of Nursing in conformance with established professional nursing practices and standards for the Chicago-Read Mental Health Center.
Serves as full-line supervisor.
Participates in developing nursing care policies and procedures.
Participates in reviewing aggregate data collection to meet The Joint Commission and CMS standards of compliance.
Participates in hospital-wide committees to improve quality of patient care.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
