Position Summary:

The ideal candidate for Assistant Baseball Coach is committed to upholding Goshen College’s core values, passionate about teaching baseball, and developing and empowering young men through our beloved sport. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring collegiate baseball coach to be empowered with the responsibilities of helping run our program.

Responsibilities:

• Recruiting & evaluating student athletes
• Skill development & instruction
• Practice & game planning
• Strategy & in-game decision making
• Fundraising & alumni engagement
• Hitting a fungo & throwing batting practice
• Mentoring
• Facility, game field preparation and maintenance
• Social media oversight
• Occasional team transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous professional, college or high school coaching experience
• Offensive and positional experience
• Pitching experience
