Welcome
to the
Art Department
Visual images are increasingly influencing everyday life.  Our education is not complete unless we grasp the implications of visual power.  With advent of the information age, there is an unprecedented demand for highly literate college trained artists who can also negotiate the digital world.  Operating in a small liberal arts college, our department can quickly adapt to new technology while maintaining a strong traditional core of artistic integrity.

A liberal arts education gives the art practitioner more than technical expertise.  It provides an appreciation for the underlying foundations of the human experience.  Without this, true art can not be produced.
