GOSHEN, Ind. – Tickets are still
available for the Bobby McFerrin concert on Jan. 18 at 4 p.m. as
part of the Goshen College's Performing Arts Series in the
Music Center's Sauder Concert Hall. McFerrin is a 10-time
Grammy Award winning vocalist and conductor.
Tickets for the concert are still available ($45, $40, $25) and can
be purchased by calling the Goshen College Welcome Center at (574)
535-7566 or e-mailing welcomecenter@goshen.edu.
McFerrin, a leading vocal innovator with a four-octave range, is
famous for his song "Don't Worry Be Happy," but he
is no one-hit-wonder. He is known around the world for his vocal
innovation and improvisation, as well as his talents as a
world-class conductor. McFerrin's blend of various musical
genres along with audience interactions offers a collaborative
process of making music and a truly original experience.
The Los Angeles Times says, "Bobby McFerrin's greatest
gift to his audience may be changing them from spectators into
celebrants and transforming a concert hall into a playground, a
village center, a joyous space."
