Faculty | Courses | Art Gallery | Visiting Artists | Alumni | Student Art | Admissions

This is a good first art class. Its focus is on the fundamentals of drawing as applied to pictorial organization. Emphasis is placed on rendering skills through the use of line, value and perspective. The course includes the use of various wet and dry media. ART 101 is open to all students.

Instructor:

Judy Wenig-Horswell

In this assignment, the class is working with white grease pencil on black paper to develop a high contast drawing based on the still life.  They must carefully observe the shapes of the light and dark areas while reducing the range of values.
