Tickets available for March 18 Estonia National Symphony Orchestra concert

GOSHEN, Ind. – In its debut U.S. tour, the 100-member Estonia National Symphony Orchestra will perform for Goshen College's Performing Arts Series in the Music Center's Sauder Concert Hall, with piano soloist Joyce Yang, on Wednesday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m.

Though regular seating for the concert is sold out, tickets for the Choral Terrace, located behind the stage, are on sale for $15. Occasionally regular seat tickets are returned to the Music Center box office the night of the concert and would be available an hour before the concert. The orchestra, which won the BBC Music Magazine's Best Orchestral Recording award in 2006, will be performing with pianist Joyce Yang. In 2005, at 19, Yang was awarded the silver medal at the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, and has since performed with some of the world's finest orchestras, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Philadelphia Orchestra.

The Estonia National Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of the prominent Estonian conductor Eri Klas, has four different programs it will perform throughout its U.S. tour. Works which might be heard include: Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2, Dvorak's 8th Symphony, Pärt's 3rd Symphony, Sibelius' 2nd Symphony, Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3 and works by Tüür.
