Bartel removing a bisqueware bowl from his kiln
    June 10, 1998
This is work being prepared for One-Person-Show in the Goshen College Art Gallery, October, 1998. This bowl was made on the potter's wheel beginning with 40 pounds of moist clay. It was painted with colored slips before the clay was dry. It was bisque fired and will now be glazed with a number of different glazes to bring out the colors and character of the slips.
