Below you will find a more detailed description of what you can expect to find in this RPG. Please take the time to look it over so you won't feel so lost should you decide to join us.
STAMPER'S "PRIMER FOR NEWBIES" ON WHAT THIS ROLE-PLAYING GAME IS ABOUT:
This RPG is part Game, part Discussion, ALL Soap Opera--in a way....But, MOSTLY, it's us telling Stories to each other on "what it would be like to live with your favorite anime characters"...!
NOTE: However, this is not a typical role-playing game, at least not in the usual sense--There's no goal to reach, nobody wins, and there isn't any competition--if that's what you're looking for, we probably aren't the RPG for you...
Each person who participates, can "adopt" an anime character as their own (there is a list of those already taken, so please take a look at it) We occasionally borrow anime people from each other, but you should ask first, just for courtesy's sake [some of us are very possessive of certain favorite characters!]
Each person participating can be themselves but as a make-believe person--we usually call each other by diminuitives of our sign-in names, such as "Stampers" for "stampededtyphoon"--if you decide to be your own anime person, that's all right, too!
Example: "Stampers" is not a real person, but she does represent me in this "Lil' World" within the RPG.
It may be a good idea to start by writing a Profile of the "character" who will be representing you in this RPG--
--What name you want to go by
--Who your "adopted" anime people are
--Where you'll be living in this "World" and what you'll be doing (job, family, etc.)
It doesn't have to complicated, just enough information to let people know who you are and establish a base on which to begin.
The PURPOSE of this RPG is to explore aspects of various anime people beyond their respective series--what they might have become if they had lived, or what might have happened in their lives beyond the end of their "story", or, just what each person participating wants those characters to become..............
This became what it is now because some of us were ready to go beyond the usual discussions into unknown territory, but in a way that was entertaining and FUN!
ABOUT "DEAD" ANIME PEOPLE:
One of the fun aspects of this world is that "dead" Anime People can be brought "back" to live in our "Lil' World"--they are given that choice after their deaths on their series, but--
--They cannot return to the world of their series
--If they "die" in our world, they must stay dead [Um.....more or less--Since I've been the worst about breaking this rule, let's just say what we don't want is arbitrary circumstances--if you have a good Story going and that's part of it, well.....we do make exceptions!]
I know this is a a great deal to read, but there is a lot of "History" behind this game, unfortunately most of which has been deleted back in our old home at [adultswim], this being the reason we moved to CLASP.
