Hymn sing chapel – a GC tradition!
Celebrating the learning of Maple Scholars–GC’s undergraduate research program, which offers summer opportunities for students to collaborate with professors on research projects.At this convocation, we will hear about two 2009 projects: one in environmental science (Jeremy Good, Adie Gerig and Prof. Ryan Sensenig) and one in women’s studies (Rachel Halder and Prof. Beth Martin Birky).
Associate Dean Ross Peterson-Veatch and others will explore campus diversity, unity, and how we support each other’s learning at GC.
This is our final chapel service of the school year. It will be led by students in the “Preparation for Inquiry Program” class. These students will be spending their summers in various ministry, service, and camp opportunities. They will be blessing us off to our respective summer plans, as well as a farewell to those graduating.
Bishop John D’Arcy, the Roman Catholic bishop of the Fort Wayne – South Bend Diocese, will offer greetings to our campus with the theme of “Easter Peace.”

The first ever Honors Convocation, celebrating student achievement in academic study and co-curricular activities.
Holy Week or Passion Week marks the week between Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday. Good Friday, the day of Jesus’ crucifixion, is a campus holiday. This chapel service will call Christians to focus on the most important week of Jesus’ life. It will include an anointing service, and features GC’s Women’s World Music Choir.
