On Thursday afternoon, our Chinese culture lesson was a two-hour outdoor session introducing us to tDuring our two hours we practiced five basic movements. On September 23 we will have another afternoon session, during which time our instructor hopes to teach us five more movements.

Tai-ji was new for almost all of us, and many of us were surprised by how tiring a slow-moving exercise could be!

Thursday was a warm, bright day, and our group quickly attracted dozens of Chinese spectators, who sat politely watching these North Americans practice.
